Justice A. Whitaker --- Justice Whitaker was born and raised in California where he developed a passion for storytelling and lens based arts. He received his Bachelors degree in Film and Television Production from New York University. He spent ten years working as a digital media educator in Brooklyn, NY and at Santa Fe University of Art and Design, before shifting towards his love of writing as his main medium for storytelling. In 2012 Justice committed himself to his career as a writer, and has been awarded for multiple pieces of screenwriting at international festivals. Justice is committed to social justice through his work as a writer and is invested in sharing his craft with young creators in the interest of expanding the reach of cinematic storytelling. Justice’s last documentary “Kut to be the Best” was an official selection of the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival. Justice is currently directing the film Trauma Cycle, an experimental documentary film about his father's battle with PTSD. He is married and lives with his wife in Brooklyn, NY.
